I'm in Debt. Yay!

So I went ahead and messed up my beautiful credit score (it was quite nice) by.... *drum roll* purchasing a house!
It is a nice one story in the town for Friendswood, TX. I am still in the process of moving in, but I should be ready to entertain by August or September. Anyone want to visit?

I Have a Blog?

I know, I have been a horrible blogger. This is due to a number of things:

1. I am VERY lazy
2. I have recently re-discovered twitter (http://www.twitter.com/antoniojvr)
3. I am VERY lazy

So I figured I should, at the very least, check in and keep all of you (all two of you) in the loop on what is going on in my life.

• Life in Houston is going very nice. I am really loving it here.
• I am going to Las Vegas on Sunday for a business trip. After 5pm, I am on my own. Dangerous.
• I am buying a house! I close on the house on June 27th, and I will be posting pictures shortly afterwards.
• I just saw Rancid in concert. for those who knew me during my punk days, Rancid was one of my favorite groups. Since August, I have seen NOFX, Bad Religion, Pennywise, and Rancid. Next month: Less Than Jake :)
• The job is also going well. I just got promoted to Analyst IV. Very happy!
• I bought a gun (almost a requirement here in Texas). It is a Walther P22 with a laser sight.

Short post today. Decided I should show you all the route I took driving from Maryland to Texas during my move. 1400 miles of drudgery.

Meeting the Locals

Why do bugs always feel the need to visit me at my door? I went to through my trash away and I come back to hear a sever buzzing sound in my door way. And there is the biggest dragonfly I have ever seen. I know these things are harmless, but that didn't stop me from cowering like a little baby and praying for it to leave. So I managed to run into my apt, into safety. Then I felt like I should photograph the damn thing. So I grab my camera, RUN out to a safe distance (approximately 1.2 kilometers away), and prepare my camera. Here are some of the shots I took. Sorry for the quality, but I was using the telephoto lens and it is very humid outside.
